IMPORTANT CHANGES TO DOOR THICKNESSES  

Until recently, Colonial Doors offered 2 thicknesses for our doors,  both 25mm & 32mm, which gave customers choice to suit their Door requirements & budget, with the 25mm doors always being slightly cheaper than the 32mm doors. These options were based on the cost & availability of RAW materials available to us.
Unfortunately, we no longer have alternative prices for the 2 options available; there’s just one price for both thicknesses.
This change is due to the VIC Labour / Greens government decision to abandon sustainable hardwood harvesting here in Victoria, along with the generations of industry & supporting families involved in the hardwood industry. We are now finding that our timber merchants are only offering 38mm sawn feedstock and no longer offering the 28mm materials we have used for our 25mm doors over the past 27 years of production.
Rest assured our Australian Hardwood (predominantly imported from New Zealand) is as good a quality as always, and our hardwood doors will continue into the future for as long as possible.

Quality Materials

Our doors are manufactured from select grade Vic Ash
(KDHW) in 32mm x 70mm & 25mm x 70mm

Complete with Screens

All doors are supplied with black fiberglass flywire mesh, black rubber spline and a spline roller insertion tool. The doors have a groove on the back to allow the fiberglass wire to be fixed by pressing the spline into the groove after the doors have been installed.

Our standard doors are 2040mm x 820mm , However we can cater to any door opening and custom sizes & designs are welcome.
Our doors are competitively priced and are sold with a 12 month warranty.

As part of the first Design assignment for Colonial Doors, I replaced our old screen door for a Mansfield. 19 years later its joinery is still tight and it hasn’t missed a beat or deformed. Excellent door.
